Since its founding in 1993, Ivy Street School has provided residential and educational treatment to adolescents with neurological difficulties. Today the school serves students with autism spectrum disorder, students with behavioral health challenges, and students with brain injuries and other neurological challenges.
All learning at the Ivy Street School takes place in a supportive, homelike environment. Educationally, all students are supported by licensed special education teachers who craft academic plans tailored to each student’s education needs. Residentially, each student lives in a private bedroom and is supported by engaged, dedicated staff. Day and residential students benefit from intensive life skills and social thinking curriculum, individual and group therapy, adaptive physical education, and restorative therapies.
Our location in suburban Brookline, Massachusetts gives us the advantages of a quiet residential community but also the excitement of the city of Boston just minutes away. Our mission is to prepare students for the transition from adolescence to young adult life including community living, successful employment, or higher education.
