Ivy Street offers a range of activities to engage students on and off-campus. School activities include field days in the summer, holiday parties, and community celebration nights including our Extravaganza talent show and prom. The Ivy Street School’s activities allow students to cultivate friendships and grow.

After-school groups are offered each weekday afternoon and are open to both day and residential students. Groups are fun, social, and always based on student interest. Past groups have focused on cooking, art, gaming, anime, performing arts, and fitness. Students also enjoy competing on our Special Olympics teams: football, basketball, volleyball, softball, and cheerleading. Ivy Street Hawks sports teams are open to all students, and are a wonderful way to make friends be part of a team.

Students go off-grounds to take advantage of all Massachusetts has to offer, including trips to nature preserves, adaptive skiing, adaptive sailing/kayaking, weekend trips to water parks and museums, and days at the beach. Students have the opportunity to attend baseball, hockey, soccer, and basketball games, as well as to attend plays, musicals, and concerts. Through a wide range activities, Ivy Street students get to have fun and explore the wider community.
