Cottage Farm Program

Ivy Street School also operates a two-story brownstone in the Cottage Farm neighborhood, just a few blocks from our school building. The Cottage Farm Program (CFP) is a transitional program geared toward students who have achieved a high level of independent living skills and self-management and are ready to experience community living.

The apartment is staffed twenty-four hours a day by Ivy Street School residential counselors, but students take on more responsibility for managing their budgets, determining their activities, and grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning. Students attend school at Ivy Street during the day and spend their evenings at Cottage Farm. This structure gives students the opportunity to learn to live with roommates in an apartment-style environment. The educational focus of the residences is on increasing each student’s maturity, decision-making capacity, and life skills. Residential programming at CFP is supported by a team of skilled staff, including an in-house Occupational Thearpist and a treatment supervisor.
